It took a moment, but the lingering tension melted from Alastor’s frame and he settled more comfortably in his chair, much to the delight of Lucifer’s dragon.
A Beta shouldn’t act like this. Shouldn’t be influenced by Alpha Voice. However, the alternative was equally unlikely. An unmated Omega of childbearing years working as a university professor, especially somewhere as prestigious as Pentagram University.

Summary
Eons ago, Lucifer made a deal with Heaven: a hundred sinners must die every year or they will face an extermination. Since his punishment prevents him from harming sinners, he needs an executioner to enforce his will.
Alastor made it his life mission to kill powerful men who abuse their power. When he learns Lucifer is recruiting a brand new executioner, the temptation is impossible to resist.
Selling his soul to the Devil is certainly a risky gamble, but Alastor isn’t worried. After all, Lucifer can’t harm him.

Summary
Alastor, a young man with some questionable roots, takes it upon himself to travel to Europe.
He ends up at the reportedly haunted “Gateway to Hell” also known as Houska Castle.
There he finds a Priest, Lucifer Magne, who hires Alastor to be the new grounds keeper for the castle.
Strange things begin to happen. A dark past is unearthed about the castle. It goes all the way back to the founding of the castle. What happens when everything comes running together? The Darkness threatens to consume them both.

Lucifer hadn't moved so fast since Adam had tried to strike Charlie. He was through the kitchen and sitting room doors so quickly the hinges broke, wood splintering as he didn't so much open them as smash through them.
