Summary
This is my canon-divergent District Four-centric universe.
It ignores everything about Mockingjay. Plot-wise, it takes the 75th Hunger Games as its point of departure, but since it ignores the backstory provided by Mockingjay, characterization also looks different.
Major departures include:
* Mags is a strategic mastermind who's been plotting a rebellion in District Four for decades.
* The forced prostitution is a lot more limited in scope.

Summary
Haymitch Abernathy is the only mentor 12 has had for 25 years. When two new “dead ones” are reaped in the 74th, he knows his job for the rebellion is to make them as memorable as possible. They turn out to be pretty good at making themselves memorable all on their own.
This is The Hunger Games series from Haymitch’s POV. I tried really hard not to use too much from the books. There’s a lot of “original” content in here. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!
Previously titled What Mentors Do. I’ve done a tiny little edit in Ch. 82 that will be very important later.

Summary

After a horrifying first appointment, Finnick finds himself unable to stop resisting his clients. Haymitch tries to help him gain control, without doing more damage.
