"So," Colton starts, breaking Kyle from his revery. "Ferruci. Think you can take him out for me tomorrow?"
Kyle snorts and sinks deeper into the couch - and even more into Colton. "Sure. You know the only thing I like more than you finishing first is you finishing second behind me."
It's supposed to be a joke, it is a joke, but it comes out a little more suggestive than he means it to. Colton looks down at him and suddenly his smile feels less genuine. He goes to look away, laugh it off, but Colton is already speaking.
"Alright," Colton hums. "You win tomorrow. I'll finish second."

Oscar followed the F1 caravan around the world, but Logan chased the sun. His hair was sun-bleached blond and the spread of freckles across his cheeks was ever-present. Steering wheel calluses were dug deep into Oscar's hands, and Logan's fingers were permanently pruned. “My claim to Camelot’s throne,” Uther threw back, face growing more red as Arthur looked between his parents in utter bewilderment. Merlin didn’t blame him. He had envisioned Uther and Ygraine’s love story to be more… well, less based in war and battles.
Ygraine’s eyes narrowed as she grabbed a goblet of wine and threw it in Uther’s face. A few of the guards shifted, but Uther only raised a hand to pause them, spitting out the wine with furious eyes.
“You,” Ygraine said coldly. “Are unworthy to sit upon a stool, let alone a throne.”
From a few feet away, Balinor scoffed as he sipped from his own goblet. “I kind of like having her as a hostage, Uther. She livens up the place.”
