Summary
Toya was fine. Since he was capable of understanding, Toya's family had a condition. “Synthesia” was its name but the Aoyagis were distinct from other documented cases. The Aoyagis couldn't see the colors of the world unless they were in love. Physicians tried to make sense of it, and after many…heated discussions, the family's doctors finally agreed on something. Starting from their DNA, the Aoyagis’ genetic code was somehow arranged for the chemicals of falling in love to activate the cone cells in their eyes, allowing for the perception of color.
After losing his first love of music, Toya finds a new way to see the past colors of the world from meeting 3 extraordinary people and possibly finding something more in the process.
