When Zuko brought up the idea of Sokka staying in the Fire Nation as a permanent representative of the Water Tribe, he wasn't thinking about all of the ways it could go wrong.
Zuko is emphatically not going to do anything about the way he feels. He's not going to stare at Sokka, and he's not going to spend any time alone with him, and he's definitely, definitely not going to think about what it would be like to hold Sokka's face in his hands.
Zuko's not going to do anything at all, because he can't shake the absolute certainty that that's the only way they both get out of this alive.

Summary
Four years and counting of separation, three years for her to get over it, almost two years of her life wasted on loving a man that she could never take back, and one year since that same man had slipped his way back into her life.
She hates him for it because he leaves her confused.
It's the tiniest interactions that make her remember all the good, wonderful things he'd done for her while they were married, but then she remembers the lies and the deceit.
Yor isn't always so eager to tell people that she used to be married to Twilight, but on the other hand, he's happy to remind them.

It comes out of nowhere.
The first time she kisses him.
He blames it on himself, for letting his guard down and being so comfortable that he doesn't recognize her oncoming action when she walks up to him at the door.
He doesn't anticipate - calculate - her leaning in to plant a soft kiss on his left cheek. It's so quick that he barely processes the action, but when he does, his stomach does a weird flip and suddenly his cheek feels heavy with weight.
