"Oh." John sees something. Arthur can't figure out what it is. The tap is dripping again.
"What? Is there a mark?"
Slow breaths. A warm wet cloth on his chest. Awful and wonderful and the same time. Softly scrubbing back and fourth.
"No. I just don't want my blood on you."
Blood? Why is there blood? John's blood? Arthur is feeling dazed. Keep it together, Lester. It was just a dream.
"Why?"
"Why?" John laughs. "I don't find it kind on the eyes. Does this feel good?" He must have seen the relaxation in Arthur's face. The rag starts making circles along Arthur's sternum. It washes away the stickiness and the cold.
"Yes."

“You needing a place to stay?” Noel asked.
“Just… just for a little while.”
Noel finished off the last dregs of his coffee, letting out a contented sigh. “You can come stay with me, then.”
“What?”
Noel laughed. “Whattya mean, ‘what?’”
“Well, it’s just that— we couldn’t possibly, Noel, I mean, you’ve done so much for us already, and really it just wouldn’t be right to—“
Noel pressed a finger to Arthur’s mouth, ears tingling at the way in which the other man quieted near instantly. “You worry a lot about being polite for someone whose admitted to killing at least seven people, you know that?”

Arthur's been, overdoing it recently. Ever since He and John had 'come back' from retrieving the blackstone, Arthur hadn't sat still. But when his exhaustion catches up with him while he's working on a case, John and Him must find a way to get out of the situation all while keeping Arthur awake enough to do so.
Or, Arthur's been overworking himself since he came back from the mission for the blackstone. This causes some issues.
