There was a deafening growl, one that shook Tommy to the bone.
A blur of reds and mahogany streaked passed him, but the figure only paused for a moment before he rounded on the golden wolf. Tommy had barely managed to dodge Techno’s first lunge. There was no way he’d be able to do it again.

Techno grunted, tilting his head thoughtfully, and sunk a hand down into the dark mud. He returned it back up after a moment, staring at the thick, silty earth spilling between his fingers to plop down at his hooves. “Can’t pick up blocks. Can’t access inventory, can’t punch trees—”
“Can’t punch trees?!”
“Can’t punch trees,” Techno continued, aggrieved. “I’m going to go ahead and assume it’s a one life world as well, since that would be about right. If we die, do you know if Kristen is going to pull us out?”
Philza frowned thoughtfully. “I’m not sure— I’d assume so, but I’m not gonna lie, I wouldn’t want to take the chance.”
Techno’s sigh turned into a groan as he got himself to his feet, hooves splayed in the mud to keep himself from sinking any more than he had to. “Alright, fine. Let’s see what we’re working with.” -

A human falls into the Underground, but unlike those of the past, she dies on impact. But for some reason, remnants of her soul remain. In order to learn more about humans, her body is given to Royal Scientist W.D. Gaster. Her soul is pieced back together, fused with a piece of Gaster's soul, and brought back to life. Marco has the dubious pleasure of falling into one of the Grand Line's strangest weather anomalies on his way back from an urgent errand in the Calm Belt. It slingshots him to an unknown point in the past to wait until the anomaly snaps him back to the present once more. He could be there for days, weeks, possibly years if the records of previous survivors hold true.
There he finds a small, peaceful island that doesn't exist in his own time. It even has a friendly, if exceedingly strange creature for company with a body made of shadows that make his eyes bleed when he stares too long, but that's nothing compared to Ace’s first few destructive months on the Moby Dick. His crew would love Imu, he’s sure. A shame they'll be separated when Marco returns to the present.
