    Sure, it was a hobby of his – he enjoyed the wind racing against the sleek exterior of the car as he zoomed past and the blitzes of passerby’s expressions. He’s not against the idea of it becoming his life’s work (would be too late now, anyways) but he just hadn’t expected it. That’s all.

    Sometimes, idly, he'd think about what it'd be like to really throw himself at Spider-Man; push him to the ground, grinding and groaning with as much ferocity as when they got into a fight. Except Spider-Man was way stronger than him, so more likely he'd end up on top, with Johnny pinned beneath him.

    Kind of like right now.

    Only, in his fantasies Spider-Man was fully conscious of what he was doing, and Johnny could touch him back. Or at the very least speak his mind.

    After the Frightful Four manage to hypnotize Spider-Man into working for them, Johnny is put on the receiving end of a very special kind of attention...

    “That’s not the same thing,” Peter said, rolling his eyes.

    “Name one way it’s different,” Johnny shot back.

    “I didn’t just web a camera to a wall and stand around with my good side pointed that way,” Peter said, talking over Johnny, voice rising and words rushing together. Irate Spider-Man voice – it was how Johnny always knew he had him. “I had a tracker in my costume to keep myself in the shot! That is a completely different thing!”

    Johnny tipped his chin up and glared at Peter. “Want to bet?”
