Summary
“I have some money saved, I’ll just stay at a hotel until it's fixed,” Kaveh insisted as he began to pack his bags.
“Don’t waste your money, just sleep in my room,” Alhaitham suggested.
Kaveh paused his packing to shake his head, “I’m not… we are not sharing a bed.”
“We don’t have to, I can sleep on the divan.”
“No, this is your house, I’ll sleep on the divan.”
“Kaveh,” Alhaitham said gently, “This house is just as much yours as it is mine. Take my bed.”
Alternatively, how a house turns into a home, completely from the perspective of said house.

Summary
“Why does it not–” Kaveh’s voice ripped out in a whine. “Have you not thought about it at all since then?”
A long pause. The longest one yet. “Who says I haven’t?”
Lightning flashed through the window, illuminating Al-Haitham’s face. Half of it was still wrapped in shadow, blocked by Kaveh’s head, but he could see the distance between them measured, laid flat by the light. The lightning went. The room went dark. But the memory of Al-Haitham’s wide eyes did not leave him.
What did he want?
“Have you?” asked Kaveh.
“Have you?” Al-Haitham’s voice was so quiet, buried under the murmur of the rain.
Kaveh swallowed. “I mean…I thought that was obvious.”
Kaveh accidentally sleeps with Al-Haitham. And then...keeps sleeping with him.

Summary
The stranger unceremoniously handed him a small box as if it were a routine set of paperwork to sign. Kaveh’s eyes widened as he opened it, finding a breathtakingly gorgeous ring inside. “Marry me.”
Kaveh blinked. He closed the door. He opened it again. The man was still there.
“Uh,” he started. “I think you have the wrong… address?”
(In which Alhaitham insists that he and Kaveh were lovers in their past lives).

Summary
With a heavy sigh, Kaveh buried his face in his pillow. All of his romantic ideals, as usual, were quashed by the one man he actually yearned for such affections from - a marriage for the sake of fucking tax deductions.
Though it made sense in a cold, rational way, such a logical and disinterested proposal for Kaveh to willingly sacrifice his heart for nothing more than mora cut deep into his chest. And worst of all... Alhaitham was unaware that Kaveh’s heart could never even belong to anyone but him - that he was already the sole benefactor of Kaveh’s silent longing, having stolen Kaveh’s heart against his will long ago.
Kaveh curled around his pillow as if the soft cotton of his pillowcase could offer a reprieve from the turmoil churning deep in his stomach. He’d long since made peace with his unrequited love for Alhaitham, resigning himself to a lifetime of suppressed yearning - but this? This was torture, plain and simple, demanding mental gymnastics that Kaveh wasn’t confident he was flexible enough to contort himself into.
