Summary
Joonghyuk's stomach did something he did not approve of as Lee Seolhwa nudged past Dokja, reaching to take a kebab for herself. He knew it wasn't the woman he had lost. He had accepted that. Still, sometimes his heart would ache when he saw her, like a bad knee during a thunderstorm. Would that be Dokja, one day? Another ghost in a line of ghosts? That was assuming he even showed up in the next round. Was it better or worse, if there could only ever be one of him…?
It was a sobering reminder. Joonghyuk watched them talk with a hollow feeling settling into his body, reality sliding harshly back into place. It had been foolish to indulge any part of this. The smart thing was to forget.

Bookmarker's Notes
Fantastic historical-fantasy AU that made me fall in love with lyney. Everything is absolutely beyond amazing; it is so engaging and well-written you won’t even notice how long you’ve been reading.
“The dead do not return. The sea does not speak. Violet means nothing.
Memories are only that. Dreams are only dreams. Drowning is metaphor, nothing more.“

Summary
Whatever carefully blank expression Lestat is trying on disappears like a slap. “Armand made a fledgling. Why would he do that?” Lestat asks.
“Oh, you know,” Louis says, watching the three dots of a new text pop up. “He knew Daniel was… important to me.”
He means to say it with rueful annoyance, as if to say, “so he ruined him.” But as Daniel’s text comes in—the most important question I should have asked you in that fucking interview: where do you buy coke in Dubai?—Louis’s voice trails off, his words maybe lacking some of the bite.
or
Lestat misunderstands what Daniel is to Louis and tries to be a champ about it. Meanwhile Louis rediscovers his drug of choice—Lestat.

Summary
“I should start by saying that I’m madly in love with you.”
Akechi stares, waiting for a punchline to come. But it never does. He’s never felt more tempted to drop his charming persona just to tell the other guy to fuck off.
“You mean my novels?” He asks innocently, covering up his anger with nervous laughter that he can only hope sounds like embarrassment. Embarrassment is good – it’s socially acceptable, makes him look shy, and there are people already sending curious glances their way. He needs to keep up appearances no matter how much the guy makes his skin crawl.
“No,” the asshole says. He’s not even invading Akechi’s personal space, but for some unexplained reason, Akechi feels threatened. As if the curious gaze alone is capable of all but stripping him naked. “My name is Akira Kurusu, and I believe I just blatantly confessed my love for you.”
In which Akechi is a successful novelist, and Akira is his greatest rival.
