Ever since Duke presented as an omega, life has been different. Not bad, per se, just...weird. Especially with his friends. Call it the detective in him, but there's something going on with them whether they themselves know it or not. There are moments that seem to hang on information that's not repeated out loud. Edwin didn’t answer immediately. His eyes remained fixed on the empty spot where Monty had been, his hands hovering midair as though he could somehow pull the crow back into existence. Finally, he stood, slow and deliberate, and walked the length of the circle twice, eyes narrowed in calculation.
Charles watched him, shifting uneasily at the edge of the room. “You reckon he’s alright?” He waved a hand vaguely toward the runes, aiming for nonchalant but missing by a mile, “I mean, he’s not gone-gone, is he?”

Summary
All Hopper wanted to do was go home and relax, but he got a noise complaint about a car blasting music at the quarry. So instead of going home, he finds himself at the quarry with an extremely drunk Billy Hargrove. A drunk Billy Hargrove who just happens to have bruises and welts covering his back.
Or, Billy talks a lot when he's drunk and doesn't realize that Hopper and Joyce basically made him confess that he gets abused at home or that he ended up at the Chief of Police's house where is his given a safe place to sleep for the night and possibly a place to stay for longer.
Or, Billy gets invited to his first sleepover at Hop's cabin with Jim and Joyce and is overjoyed. They will show him what true love looks like and decide that he is never going back to Cherry Lane again.
