Shen Qingqiu smiled. He opened his mouth. This one's purpose is to make sure Luo Binghe grows up well, he went to say.
That was not what he said.
He watched as the words left his mouth, as his sect's faces dropped. Yue Qingyuan and Luo Binghe turned pale. Qi Qingqi, confused. Mu Qingfang, upset but not surprised. Liu Qingge and the various disciples, angry.
"This one's purpose in life is to die."
"What do you mean by that, shixiong?" Mu Qingfang asked softly.
Shen Qingqiu quickly thought of a way to mitigate. Well, isn't everyone's purpose in life to die? Is that not the circle of life? He means to say.

So. They were at the trial already, huh? And apparently the scum villain was taking the credit for burning the Qius to the ground, huh? As if he was there! Because Shen Yuan had been the one to burn that hell on earth to ashes.
Logically, walking into Huan Hua would be a stupid move. The kind that could throw him directly into the speeding bullet train of the actual plot, and worse, the stampeding path of one Post-Abyss Luo Binghe.
But he refuses to let his one moment of justice—true justice—be steamrolled over and credited to the scum villain. No way.

It wasn't the answer Shen Qingqiu had been hoping for. Or, rather, it was—it just spelled out a future that he wouldn't be around to see. Still... "So strong that no one under the heavens would dare challenge you?"
Luo Binghe raised his own teacup to his lips and paused. "No. That means every fight would be boring." Then he shot a mischievous look at Shen Qingqiu. "Unless... Shizun wants me to? Would Shizun find his littlest disciple becoming a peerless warrior... pleasing, perhaps?"
Shen Qingqiu opened his fan and hid behind it in lieu of burying his face in his hands. "Incorrigible," he grumbled, defeated.
