    It was rather easy to fall in it, only nodding and agreeing with everything that had been told or ordered for him to do. Megumi had been forced to live like a bird in a small cage, so he was able to find solace in small things.

    Everything so far had been wishful thinking that he would escape from all of this, and it would change his life for the better. The marriage contract had set some sort of rules although it hadn’t really changed his daily routines in any way.

    Megumi had been a fool to hope things would go better, fool to thrust that the ceremony had meant something more. The feeling he had felt that there had started to be between them was just hopeful thinking.

    Sure he had met new people, few of them becoming close friends but still Megumi was spending most of his time alone in their apartment, trying to make it home for the both of them.
