Nagito shifted under the covers. "Do you know René Descartes?"
“I guess.” Hajime furrowed his brows. “Cogito ergo sum.”
“Yes, cogito ergo sum.” Nagito echoed, “It’s a philosophical concept he reached by locking himself up in a room away from all distractions from society. Traditions, customs, obscurantism. His goal was to start from zero. Rebuild his whole philosophy from what he knew to be real. That’s where his first conclusion came from. I think therefore I am.”
“So... you’re changing your philosophy, then? What’s your new take on hope and despair?”
“I don’t know, Hinata-kun...” Nagito smothered himself with his own pillow. “So far, I’ve just been sleeping.”
After the Neo World Program, Nagito Komaeda poses as a philosopher by drowning in guilt and painkillers and locking himself up in a room until everyone hopefully forgets about his miserable existence. Unfortunately for him, Hajime Hinata doesn't mind playing philosopher with him and clearly plans on doing something about his state.

Qifrey had never even considered taking on apprentices, at first. But navigating a life outside of the Great Hall forces him to consider what he wants to do with the time he has left.

When Hajime looked at the stars from the top of the hill, he could barely believe what life had been like for him a year prior.
A year ago, nearly to the day, Hajime had lost everything. In one day he lost Nagito and Chiaki. His hope nearly went with it.
He would never admit it, but he had been terrified. He couldn’t understand it, no, why he cared so much that Nagito had died. Now, with Nagito beside him, gazing up at the same clear, starry night, he did. He didn’t understand him them. Now, with their hands intertwined and placed neatly between them on the soft grass, he did.

Hajime let out an audible sigh from across the room. Nagito perked up, looking up from the book he had been reading all morning. His eyes turned to Hajime, who stood there getting dressed. He watched as a shirtless Hajime struggled with the button on his pants, the zipper not pulling up as far as it should. Hajime tried to force the band of his pants together, but it wasn’t working. He slumped over and ran his hands through his hair.
“Ugh, I guess these don’t fit anymore either,” Hajime said. It wasn’t a new complaint—Nagito had heard him say that he’d outgrown several pairs of pants and a few button-up shirts over the past few months. It’d be a lie to say he didn’t smile a bit every time he heard those words come out of Hajime’s mouth. He couldn’t exactly explain why, but there was something about Hajime’s new look that drove him absolutely crazy.

"You know, I always thought I'd live somewhere with lots of people around," Olruggio tells him. The wine in his vessel is a rich pink colour. Qifrey made them olives and cheese with cabroccoli wrapped in ham for a late-night snack, but the pleasure was in the making, not in the eating. He sips his own vessel, listening. "But it's really nice out here, isn't it? Peaceful. Good for focussing."
"I think you would be even more of a hermit, if you had the choice," Qifrey says. "Lost in your work for weeks on end."
Olruggio looks sheepish, rubbing the back of his neck with his free hand. "You're probably right. I never thought I'd be that kind of person, either… weird how much things change, isn't it?"
"And how much they stay the same," Qifrey murmurs.

Because he was a fool."
A Future Foundation mission gone wrong leads Hinata and Komaeda to come to a deeper understanding of what they want from each other.

He’s seen this expression on Komaeda’s face before, and it’s usually followed by something shockingly macabre or self-sacrificing. Instead, Hinata’s woefully unprepared for when the words leave Komaeda’s lips; “Can I put my fingers in you?”

Hajime crumpled Nagito's collar in his fists. Nagito's answering laugh was breathless.
"Are you going to hit me now, Hinata-kun?" Nagito asked, still with that beaming smile.

The worst taunt there ever was.
"Stop talking."
It was Hajime's only warning before he started kissing Nagito roughly.

The question is odd, but not enough to have him panic. Sometimes, before they let themselves be taken by slumber, Wei Ying’s thoughts and uncertainties got the best of him and Lan Wangji would ease his worries every single time. As many times as he needed.
“I am now that I have you in my arms.” Lan Wangji replied truthfully, hugging his husband tighter to his chest.
Wei Wuxian chuckles against his chest, though something tells Lan Wangji that wasn’t enough. Though, before he could ask anything else, Wei Ying spoke once more. “That’s not what I mean… I mean, that’s good! I also feel more than okay in your arms. Thing is, I noticed something…” Lan Wangji waits silently, patiently for his husband to gather his thoughts. “You… while you made me beg for mercy, you just sounded a little bit out of breath...”
