"Hmm, what could it be?" she says, far more loudly than needed and with a bit of poorly hidden glee, "What's 'alternative to straight and narrow', gee I wonder."
The Riddler, Edward Nygma, looked over at the 30-something woman, a deadpan expression etched on his features. He looked down at his fingers, examining his nails, as if somehow dirt could get in them from his bright white cell.
"Wow, this is so hard," She continued, when Edward didn't respond immediately, he would respond eventually, she knew from experience.
"If only someone knew the answer." Donna mused longingly.
They sat in comfortable silence for a bit. Donna let the silence stretch, then-
"The answer is diagonal, Donna." He didn't even look up as the words left his mouth, but after they did, he looked up, defeated once more.

Harley gasped. “Guys! Gotham Gossip isn’t blocked on the computer!”
Ivy frowned. “The tabloid paper? Why would you want to look at such sensationalized garbage?”
Harley ignored her partner’s annoyance. After having little clue about the outside world for months, she would take all she could get. “Oooh. ‘Ten Pictures of Batman That Might Hint at His Identity!’ ‘Can the Boy Wonder Catch Up to His Mentor?’ ‘Superman Visits Gotham Fifth Time This Month! Secret Lover?’”
Jonathan pinched the bridge of his nose and closed his eyes with a heavy sigh. Jervis looked back at Harley with an amused smile. “Harleen, dear, surely that junk will rot your brain with all its nonsense.”
Joker let out a sharp “ha!” “I’m sure you would know about nonsense, wouldn’t you?”
“Wonderland is only nonsense to the sensical,” Hatter hummed. “If you don’t get that, that’s your fault.”
The conversation went over Harley’s head as she continued looking through the tabloid headlines. “Oooh! ‘Faces Behind the Masks! What These Famous Super Criminals Looked Like Before Their Turn to Villainy!’ I’m gonna look at this one.”

"Whats your god damn problem with me Joker??” Edward suddenly snapped. I was taken aback, usually I’d have to poke the bear a little more than a snappy comment to cause him to ask these sorts of questions.
“Excuse me?” I nearly laughed that one out, whether it was because I was amused is still lost on me.
“You know, being an asshole? What did I do to you huh? It was your own god damn mistake!”
Oh, I knew what was happening now. He ran out of things to criticize that he hadn't already, and so I was his next target.
