Sometimes, Hitoshi wished he could disappear.
No, he wasn't suicidal. Yes, he was satisfied with his circumstances overall. But he would be lying if he claimed that everything was how he wanted it to be.
Being an Underground hero required sacrifice and a certain ruthlessness to ensure success. He had been beaten, kidnapped, threatened, and hospitalized to protect society.
While topside heroes smiled for cameras and pedaled merchandise, he was journeying through the Underground always expecting to die. Always watching, always listening, while knowing that any night could be his last.
It wasn't just that though.
No, he had made the stupid, absolutely childish and bullheaded mistake of becoming the Number Four Hero's friend with benefits. Dynamight needed a release, Hitoshi needed a distraction.
Now, he was facing the consequences for it.

Summary
物の哀れ--"The pathos of things."
It was his favorite phrase. It reminded him of his mother, before she was stripped custody of him. Before he was transferred through multiple different foster families for "behavioral problems" or "general disobedience." Before he had learned to never believe someone when they promised they would provide for him.
Nothing about his life was going to change. At least, not how he expected it would.
Or: Hitoshi is rescued from his nightmare of a foster home by Aizawa and Yamada, and learns how to navigate the world without having to live in fear.

He sees it matched in Katsuki’s. In the deep new explorative geography of him. The stretched lines. The shifts in weight. The topography of muscle and bone and everything in between that now blooms outward to cradle something more. Something other. The echo of two heartbeats held beneath one skin.
“You’ve seen what I can do,” Katsuki says, voice just above a whisper. “You think I can’t get one baby out?”
“I know you can,” Eijirou murmurs in return. “That’s the part that’s sort of wrecking me.”
Or; Eijirou would make himself sick if it meant making Katsuki feel better. But Katsuki just wants something sturdy to hold onto

After a drunken one night stand with his long time crush, Bakugo, Shinsou might have gone off the rails. Too many nights with faceless strangers later, maybe the positive pregnancy test should have been expected.
It wasn’t.
That didn’t mean that he didn’t love his child, even if he did not know who the father was. He had always wanted children. This one being a surprise did not mean that he loved it any less.
Then she was born and suddenly only a fool wouldn’t know who her father was. The problem was that Bakugo was out of the country and did not even know that Hitoshi was pregnant.
Well, denial is an option and Hitoshi has always been stubborn.
