Summary
Regulus knew he wasn't smart enough or strong enough or talented enough to destroy the Dark Lord. But if he could destroy the one part holding him to this world, even if by doing so he destroyed himself, Voldemort could be vanquished.
But it wasn't just one part, it was seven. And Regulus died knowing he had failed, desperate to try again and save his world as the darkness consumed him.
Then he woke up.
