For three hours, he’s at the beach, takes off his socks and hikes Ilyukhina’s dress up, and stands in the water. He left the cane on the shore; it hurts to let his frame bear the brunt of gravity unsupported. The reliable tide, just cool enough to chill him a little, laps at his shins.
He closes his eyes and tries to forget about himself, the familiar ache in his joints and spine. Allows himself to imagine something else.
A different truth, a hypothetical, a thought exercise.
Rocky can't bear to lose Grace. But he can bear to watch Grace wither away from a sickness easily cured by Earth medicine even less.
Grace has to make another choice.
Or: After thirteen years on Erid, Grace leaves his true home for Earth. Eva Stratt lives to see him return. Earth takes note of the changes.

Unfortunately, Hogwarts sees them as mysterious prodigies who always seem far too capable for children.
And during the Triwizard Tournament, everything changes when Cedric returns from the graveyard alone with Voldemort’s message:

Dnf ch 8.
This story actually frustrates me so much.
The trio were supposed to be put back in their 11 year old bodies, which they were. However, there’s absolutely no explanation for what they actually remember. Some things are remembered with clarity, other things not. Why was Harry the only one who remembered Hermione and Ron got married? Why does Neville have all of the competency he didn’t before? Also, the general timeline makes no sense. Plus there’s so many paragraphs that are just copy pasted I have to scroll past so much. This story could’ve been good with a beta reader at the very least. I’m just mad at something that could’ve been good. -

Honestly I’m a bit disappointed the way this story is going. I skipped ahead to the most recent chapter (71), though the story is unfinished and hasn’t been updated since 2024 and it looks like Severus fully broke the friendship with Lilly and enmeshed himself with the death eaters and that’s not what I wanted to read in regards to this story so I’m dnfing. Not for lack of great writing but because I’m not interested in the plot line.
