Steve makes a sudden realization. He clears his throat and their angry attention switches to him. “There is… one person who satisfies both the physical requirements and personality profile,” he says slowly.
“If you say it’s you after trying to go after that grenade or getting your ass kicked in the hall, I’m going to have to kick your ass out of this room,” Phillips says flatly.
“No, no, not me,” Steve says hastily. “Agent Carter satisfies every guideline put down by both of you.”

Summary
He leaves out parts of his story he was sure Blanc wouldn’t believe. Leaving out his removing of the flask was not the start of his lies by omission, but, rather, a consequence of the floodgates opening. And they opened the moment Jud neglected to speak about the night he met Grace.
Or; It seems the only member of the church Jud talks with is Grace's ghost.

He doesn’t dignify that with a response until he’s mostly cleaned up. “Now, dear,” he says carefully, “if you want to go, you are more than welcome to do so. I, however, will be at home with Jelly watching our baking show.” He narrows his eyes. “Why do you want to go?”
“Curiosity mostly,” Philip says mildly. “I’ve heard so much about your priest in Chimney Rock. Why not pop in for a visit?”
Blanc sets his mouth in a firm, thin line and begins the spiel Philip hears every Easter. “It is an institution built on racism, misogyny, homophobia—“

“—you are being intentionally difficult—“
Philip huffs. “Love, I’m not asking you to convert. I just simply am feeling a little nostalgic for my choir boy days.”
“Then you go.”
“You two could catch up,” Philip points out, completely sidestepping his argument. “What’s he been up to since the murder?” For the second time, Blanc is left dumb. His husband waits a moment before quirking an eyebrow. “You haven’t kept in contact,” he more surmises than asks.

Grace felt him before she saw him—sensed his eager, flickering energy as he stepped onto her grounds. He was more excited about being there than anyone had a right to be. But he was nervous too, and that was more justified. She felt his energy curdle when her—when Jefferson cornered him. He wasn't happy to see this new face here, either.
And wasn't that interesting.
