He hadn’t planned the alliance with the Straw Hats; nor taking down Doflamingo by themselves; nor becoming Kaido’s target. Evidently, he’d allowed his emotions to get the better of him since Punk Hazard, and now the trail of events he had so thoroughly devised for years was in shambles – he smiled quietly at the pun. God, he was drunk.
He felt he should be angry, or at least worried. However, at that moment, he was, somehow, happy. It sounded like a fucking joke. And the culprit was only a few meters in front of him, laughing loudly, with a chunk of meat in his hand.
