Ok, tldr, the hole in the metaverse didn't really patch itself back up how it was supposed to, and now Peter was in a parallel world with nothing but a glitchy AI he couldn’t fix his memories and a humongous duffle bag that had his entire life in it. So Peter was trying like we all are.

Basically; Peter got snapped, thrown into Gotham and barely held himself for a whole month, A WHOLE MONTH, before deciding to try being Spiderman™ in Gotham. And thus, that resulted in befriending some questionable people, trying some even more questionable food and having more than enough troubles.
