So, it was Saturday, but Zuko was nowhere to be seen.
It wasn’t unheard of for Zuko to go MIA for a couple hours, sometimes he needed time to decompress or his uncle would call him out to help at the shop, but he would always tell Sokka.or. Zuko is missing, Sokka finds him and he promises his life to the other.

He shakes his head despite the sharp pain in his neck, he has no idea where the sun is, but he can feel the warmth spreading through his body.

He is afraid.
And then everything goes black.or. Zuko isolates himself in fear, Aang pulls him out of it, Toph let's him know he's cared for, Katara keeps him safe, and Sokka let's him breathe. Literally.

Zuko lived quietly.
When he was allowed to eat dinner, he ate silently. And on the few occasions he was called to eat at the dinner table, he ate like a puppet, hollow and cold.
He walked around the house on edge, tiptoeing through the halls, careful not to make a single sound. Sometimes, it didn’t work.or. Zuko's life is riddled with abuse. Sokka saves him, both literally and metaphorically.

Speaking of, Megumi is especially pressed about not letting him die. Yuji thinks it’s stupid, Megumi doesn’t get to think that he can die but Yuji has to stay alive. He’s the one who called Mahoraga and sacrificed himself, why can’t Yuji do essentially the same?
or. Yuji can't cope with Shibuya, Megumi pulls him out of the darkness that threatens to consume him whole. It works.

Megumi can no longer sleep alone. The darkness that comes with the shift from evening to night makes him nauseous, especially if he’s on his own.
His first night back on campus has quickly turned into a disaster. His room, blackened by shadows that turned the walls to ink, felt far too familiar for his taste; a pitch-black void of nothingness to surround him as he remained confined inside his own body.
Itadori found him collapsed on his bedroom floor, trembling.
“I know, I know,” he murmured as he ran a comforting hand down Megumi’s back. “He always makes it too dark.”
