Summary
Nicolo looks like he’s out of his mind. His face is twisted in a kind of pain and anger that mirrors his reaction back when he’d learnt that Sasha was in a coma. There’s a faint red all over his usually pale skin, and veins are bulging from his neck. He twists around, letting out a strange sound that might as well be a growl, and Marco grunts behind him, struggling to keep him in his hold.
That’s when Jean notices.
The sight makes his heart stop for a minute. It’s his worst nightmare come true again, which is not an exaggeration, because after finding Marco half-eaten in Trost all of his previous nightmares had paled in comparison–– He’s covered in red again, and there’s so much of it that he can’t even make out his freckles or the scar on his face.
OR: After Jean finds out Marco is alive on the day of the raid on Liberio, him and their friends try their best to get his memory back, but time's running out. The war for Paradis has been coming for a while.
