He wasn't used to words.
He was used to urges and compulsions, to feelings and floods of desires. Words were new. Commands were never words. Commands were anger, and the knowledge that if he didn't kill her right this moment his master would die and so would he.
It called for him to kneel. He could not kneel. She needed to die.
(Drift finds out a case she hadn't been able so solve for a while now has an awfully familiar face. Now to get him out of there without killing him...)

Summary
Curiosity killed the cat, but what's it do to the bat?
Exploring crypts is a great way to find all kinds of things. Alchemical recipes, spells, bones, colds. However, this time he's found something new - a book meant for vampire abilities. He's curious, it's the first one he's managed to get his hands on that wasn't going to be burnt. It'll be perfect for Cleo or Apo, but first he wants to get a proper look at it.
This changes everything. He might not be a vampire, but he's not really fully human anymore either.
He should- he should probably figure that out.

Summary
Mr Veylocke’s job is unconventional, especially for someone of his status. A status which massively benefits his work as a paid killer, as it allows him to be invited to the most coveted party of the year as a legitimate guest, instead of having to resort to his usual disguise as a butler.
He hates wearing those goddam ties.OR
Abolish is sent out to provide a mass-murderer with an ultimatum— turn himself in, or die. Which wouldn’t be a problem, if there wasn’t a witness… especially when said witness has something to hide.
He doesn’t want to spend time with this guy! It isn’t a pizza date, he’s collecting information.
What he wants the information FOR is not up for discussion.(Child assassin realises there’s more to life than taking others’.)
