Summary
Hailey & Jay are probably the strongest relationship going. From best friends, to high school sweethearts,now lovers at work - nothing was coming in between them.
Things started to get sideways when Hailey found out about her mother falling incredibly sick, with the need to leave Chicago to seek to her mother in Canada. It was a tough decision to make - she didn’t want to leave, she wanted to stay, she didn’t want to leave Jay. But he somehow managed to convince her to go, that she would regret it if she didn’t.
Long distance was the bane of their existence, they both hated it, they missed each other- and Jay wanted absolutely nothing at all but to wrap Hailey in his arms whenever she would call him in tears because her mothers state wasn’t improving - or because her father showed up unexpectedly and treated her like utter dirt on the side of the road.
An expected 2 months… turned into 4 - before long Hailey knew that not only was her relationship with Jay dying - her job was also at stake - she couldn’t stay in Canada anymore.
