An alternate timeline where, instead of meeting Pierrot on the street and helping him out, MC goes to work sick and is sent straight to the Doctor's tent instead of the pink one. A Fool cannot properly play their part or make for a good meal if they're ill, after all. Except he finds he does not want to let this songbird go. She's so kind to him, so sweet, so wonderful and obedient, how could he possibly find a replacement? He will keep his precious safe from the dangerous world that may try and steal her away from the safety of his medicine and protection. She will not leave him; he will not allow it.

Summary
