Summary
The 1960 baseball season is unraveling Wilhelm Larsson’s life. He can’t hit, his new teammates hate him, he’s homesick, and he’s living out of a suitcase. When the team forces him into a season-long interview stunt with a snobby reporter, he has no choice but to agree.
Simon Eriksson is not a sports reporter. He’s a grieving arts writer barely holding on, hiding behind his routine and a too-empty apartment, mourning a partner he was never able to be public about. The last thing he needs is to spend a season writing about New York’s obnoxious new shortstop in a stunt to get the struggling newspaper more readers.
Drawn together, they recognize something achingly familiar in each other’s collapse. But Simon has promised himself he will never be someone’s secret again, and Wilhelm cannot afford to be out in the career he’s in. In the end, they’ll have to decide whether love is worth the risk of losing everything.

Summary
The first time Shane faces Ilya Rozanov, it’s his ease that gets to him, the way he moves. Watching him feels like losing control, like the ice itself is tilting beneath Shane’s feet.
Two years later, he doesn’t expect to hear that name again.
But then a league-grey envelope arrives, sealed too tightly to be casual. And inside, a name is attached to his.
SHANE HOLLANDER (SUBMISSIVE): ASSIGNED TO ILYA ROZANOV (DOMINANT)
Or: Shane Hollander has spent years passing as a Dom: long enough to make the roster, long enough to keep it, and long enough that he can't afford to examine the foundation of the lie anymore. But the MLH has finally noticed the cracks, and their solution is Ilya Rozanov, of all people. Rival. Dom. And the last person Shane would choose.

Summary
"Hey, baby, look at me," Ilya tries. He grabs Shane's face and wipes the sweaty hair from his forehead. "Shane, please? Are you okay? What's your colour?"
Shane's eyes drift towards Ilya slowly, until their gazes lock. Ilya stares into the depths of his eyes, searching for anything that shows that Shane is still in there somewhere, and that is when Shane snaps back into reality like he has been struck by lightning. His eyes widen as he sucks in a big sharp breath and starts pulling away, away, and away. Away from Ilya. He starts feverishly tugging at the restraints that are still holding his wrists firmly in place on the headboard. And now, he is no longer silent.
Instead, Shane sobs.
---- OR ----
While the whole "tying Shane up" thing sounds fun at first, it is not so fun anymore when Shane has a panic attack when trying it.
Ilya finds out that something bad has happened to Shane in the past.Bookmarked by Skiler

Summary
“You scream in your sleep.”
“That was one night.”
“It was three.”
“You’re counting?”
“Yes. Because I’m awake for all of them.”
—
“I don’t want you to see me like this.”
“I see you.”
—
“It’s just a plate.”
“I can’t—”
“Can’t what?”
“I didn’t stop it.”
—
“I was fourteen.”
…
Or, Shane starts having episodes—flashbacks he doesn’t fully remember—that bleed into sleep, into games, into the space between him and Ilya. He loses time. He loses weight. He loses control of the carefully engineered life he built to feel safe. Ilya isn’t the only one confused—because Shane won’t let himself remember. And when the ice finally cracks, it’s not just their marriage on the line.
