Ideally, none of this would be happening. Triton wouldn't be running as fast as he could to the distant, relative safety of the outer solar system.
He wouldn't be ignoring the uncomfortable fact that there was far too much screaming from Neptune’s direction to mean anything good and that he had no way to check if any of the other fifteen moons had, or would, make it out of the Kuiper Belt.
Most importantly, he wouldn't have shadowy figures chasing him, their intent anything but friendly.

Neptune probably screwed up some time in the past, before he decided that trying to fight Iris as a distraction was a good idea.
He may have been a little too trusting of the random orange and black exoplanet who came out of absolutely nowhere. To be fair, nothing Iris did was anything he could have expected.
But well, those were things to think about later! Now, he just had to focus on fleeing the Kuiper Belt to get help!

Summary
Waking up on the surface of Earth was bad enough.
Waking up as a squishy Earthling was worse.
And waking up as an Earthling that both does not exist and also posses a threat to the dominant Life on the planet was outright disastrous.The planets and a selection of moons have all found themselves in the bodies of dragons, stuck on the surface of a planet they have little knowledge of how to survive on. With the vague goal of reaching the North Pole with everyone alive and intact, the group will have to contend with some of the hardest challenges the surface can throw at them. All while avoiding the notice of the humans, who will surely hunt them down or capture them as threats or curiosities.
