He didn’t know there were other lost causes in the world, or that your kindness extended to every poor creature in need. Until one day, you returned home with a small, trembling puppy in your arms, and shattered his reality. Your view of things was much simpler. Caring for a pet or for Brahms was pretty much the same thing. Both had pretty basic needs. Only, one was a demanding, untamed mutt, and the other was a puppy.
