Unoccupied hand cupping Katie's wrist, Multi presses his thumb softly against her pulse point; it thunders beneath her skin, beats upwards into his touch.
"It's as though we're biologically destined, Katie. I'm a man of science, I don't believe in external forces holding any role—but even I can't deny that this could be fate."
(multi has to isolate himself to prevent an outbreak; katie is immune to the radiation.

Summary
It’s the night before Katie’s wedding, and her little brother wants to talk.
Then its the hours after the wedding, and Ash has to find his sister, and finish the conversation.
When the morning finally comes, and the sun rises, Don will find himself picking up the pieces.
Katie frowned, looking away from Ash and staring unfocused across the room. “It’s gonna be— the wedding will be great.” She leaned back a little more, pulling her arms away from Ash. “You’re still my brother, even if we don’t agree.” Ash shifted a little, almost as if he were chasing her receding touch, before he stopped himself, inching over slightly on the couch.
“Besides,” she finally turned to look at him again, “Things here always seem to work out eventually don't they?"
A hurt/comfort fic exploring Ash, Don, and Katie's sibling dynamics and the aftermath of the wedding.

After Saps was buried, Flux closes himself off. He spends hours upon hours training, learning how to fire a gun better and how to swing a knife the right way to result in almost instant death. He fights in hand-to-hand combat with Thomas, who is more than happy to engage him. He becomes hard and tough, and with any provocation becomes explosive.
