Summary
Jaime’s eyes shot open at the sudden barrage of knocks coming from his door down his apartment. The knocks came again and again, rough and loud, and all he could do was drag his hand down his face and groan loudly.
The knocks stopped, and he grabbed his phone, turning it on to see the time. 1:13 AM. One in the god-forsaken morning. A second loud groan escaped him, “Jesus Christ, man.”
He shoved the covers off of him, not once bothering to put a shirt on, just slipping on a pair of slippers before trudging his way down to the front door. He was gonna have a few select words for whoever decided to wake him up so early.
And he had a sneaking suspicion of who could be on the other side, because he only really knew one man who was fine bothering him this much, knowing he’d get away with it.
Throwing the door open, he’s greeted with a disheveled Kai Parker. His boyfriend.

Not just his family, either, but other witches in their coven, they look at him with disgust, like he’s some monster that wanted to be like this. So all the way up to him being eight, Kai accepts he’s an outcast and will probably be one until the day he dies. So he gets used to playing by himself, the other young children not bothering with him, their parents probably telling them why they should stay away from him, unless they want their magic stolen from them.
So he’s deep in thought, outside for about an hour, messing around with an old and probably broken dinosaur toy, when suddenly.
“Whatchya doin'?”

He weighs up how best to answer until he sees her face drop, of course she looks beautiful. Taking her hand in his he pulls her against his firm chest, kissing her deeply before looking into her warm brown eyes.
“I think you look beautiful” he reassures her smiling affectionately down at her.
“Really? I wasn’t sure about the bangs but they stylist insisted” there’s that questioning look again.
“Really” he assures her kissing the crown of her head “In fact I can’t wait to get you home and show you just how beautiful you are” he whispers in her ear, his hot breath tickling her neck.
Looping her arm through his she winks cheekily “Well what are we waiting for?”
