“SURPRISEEEE!”
When the lights turns on Buck smiled widely at Eddie, Eddie's eyes filled with adoration right away, he looks back at Buck with the biggest smile.
“Happy birthday, Buck.”
“Happy birthday, baby!”They say at the same time.
“What?"
“We throw you a birthday party, Buck, I know originally it's tomorrow but I wanted to make sure you spend your 35th with everyone you love around. It's a big milestone.”
“No, this is your birthday party! Today is your birth day! I threw you a birthday party, even though it's on Friday, I did it because I wanted you to rest tomorrow, I made the cake and the flower arrangements, I googled every single flower, even planned the pro–”

Summary
"I do kinda miss those thick, late-night milkshakes on your corner," Eddie says, his voice slipping through the line, slow and easy—warm enough that Buck feels it settle deep, deep within his chest. "What’s that place called again?"
"Cherry Top’s," Buck supplies, grinning into the phone.
"Right, yeah,” Eddie confirms, smile audible. “Took forever to get a sip.”
“Yeah, they uh…” Buck agrees, voice catching slightly. “They really make you work for those, huh?”
God, Buck doesn’t even know how they got here.
[Or: Buck and Eddie have a late night conversation about, uh... milkshakes.]

Summary
"So." Buck takes another sip of coffee, real slow, savoring the wind-up. He sets the mug down with a soft clink. "Princess."
Eddie closes his eyes.
This is it. This is where they find him face down in his eggs. Chimney's going to have to call Pepa. Pepa is going to be furious. The funeral will be small and Buck better wear something hideous to it, Buck better wear that godawful floral shirt with the parrots, the one Eddie told him was ugly out loud one time two years ago and has been secretly obsessed with ever since, because Eddie deserves the satisfaction of being buried while looking at it.
"Buck." He says it into his toast.
Buck shrugs. "I'm just asking."
"You're not asking. You're enjoying yourself."
"I'm doing both, Eds, I’m versatile."
Or,
Eddie gains a boyfriend, a pair of lace panties, and learns a lot about himself in the span of forty-eight hours.Series

Summary
“Eddie, I am definitely not going to date anyone else now,” Buck said, straightening up and frowning.
Eddie could feel himself flush, hating once again that his cheeks always showed his feelings. “I mean, you can,” he stuttered. “This doesn’t change anything—”
“Why do you always say that?” Buck snapped, pulling back. Another tear crested his waterline on the other side and he sniffled and swiped at it furiously with one hand. “That—that nothing will change. I tell you something life-changing and you assure me nothing will change,” Buck said, looking devastated. “I want things to change, Eddie. I want you to want things to change. I want you to want things, period.”
