Summary
The Phantom Thieves of Hearts, that group of mysterious vigilantes that took Japan by storm, find themselves thrust into another adventure to save the world! Only...it's not a world they know.
This time, their path takes them across time and space, to a world where squids, octopuses, and other marine life have evolved, and walk the earth as humanity's successors. The city of Inkopolis sprawls out before them, promising adventure and a wild palette of color.
But this world of cephalopods is not quite as it should be. With tensions running high, and strange, erratic changes in behavior all too common amongst the populace, it's up to the Phantom Thieves and a host of new allies to uncover the truth.

Summary
"Tomorrow is broken. Tomorrow is nowhere."
A year has passed since the Phantom Thieves struck down a god and saved Tokyo from a terrible fate. But when people all over the globe begin to suffer from "Paranoia Syndrome," mysterious seizures which leave them contorted and unconscious, Akira Kurusu finds himself in the Velvet Room once more, demanding answers for the affliction. His investigation leads him to the Dead Sea, the rotted remnants of the cognitive world, where all things go to be forgotten - including someone the Thieves had thought to be long gone.
Meanwhile, Akira's comatose body is found in the waking world, and his terrified friends suspect the worst. Akira's confidants struggle to learn the truth behind Paranoia Syndrome, while he and Goro Akechi approach a fated confrontation in the decaying shell of the cognitive Tokyo. As the sickness continues to spread, the Phantom Thieves must reunite and destroy the evil festering beneath the Dead Sea's waters, before its malignant influence unravels civilization forever.

Featuring plenty of artwork from all kinds of talented fans, several ongoing arguments, some early proofreading from the lovely AddisonNoxy of "Stormy Dreams" fame, headcanon discourse, overcomplicated worldbuilding, fear, irresponsibility, angst, disease, a 140-song playlist featuring some tracks by the unbelievable GlassesFreekJr, and possible clownfish romance. Takes place roughly a year or so before the events of Splatoon 3.
Although writing for this project began before Splatoon 3's release, "EiG:BSF" has been labeled 'canon compliant' to the Splatoon series after extensive research and confirmation. Previously updated on Saturdays.

Summary
Both Inklings and Octolings know of Inkopolis as a city of possibilities and beginnings, where the sun shines and music is played in every heart. Though their presence hasn't been made public knowledge yet, more and more Octolings are migrating to the City of Colors alongside young squids who want a piece of the dream for themselves.
But some find that the road to their dreams is much stormier than they anticipated.
Hook is a young Inkling boy from a small town who's hoping to make it big on the turf. Maya is an Octoling deserter who's fleeing from her past, trying to start a new life under the sky.
They, and many others, will have many obstacles to overcome before they can realize their dreams.
