    Natsuki Subaru has died hundreds of times in ten-second intervals, killed by Olbart over and over with no chance to escape, no room to think, no hope of victory. But as his mind fractures under endless death, he realizes something far worse: Return by Death is wrong. The checkpoints are cruel, loveless, and deliberately designed to maximize his suffering. Someone has been manipulating his soul since he arrived in Vollachia. Maybe longer. When the taboo binding his tongue suddenly fails, Subaru makes a choice born of desperation: He calls for Satella. As the Witch of Envy descends in shadows and obsession, a small hand grabs Subaru's sleeve. An infantile Louis Arneb, who's terrified and desperate, triggers her teleportation ability at the worst possible moment while Satella's miasma still clings to them both. They don't teleport across the rooftop. They slip into the Corridor of Memories.

    In that impossible space between souls, where identities can be consumed or rewritten, one girl will face everything she was and choose to become something new.

    What emerges will reshape Vollachia, the rebellion, and the very nature of redemption itself.

    Sometimes the brightest stars are born from the darkest places.
