    Despite what the media likes to believe, Ilya has never hated Shane. They’ve been obscenely competitive on the ice and angry with each other off of it, but he doesn’t think he’s even capable of truly hating Shane Hollander.

    Last night, though, something ugly and uncomfortably close to that woke in him. He knows that on some level, Shane has to know what Ilya has sacrificed. He wasn’t trying to hurt Ilya. He never would.

    After the Boxing Day fight, Ilya disappears.

    However, Shane is not happy, actually, he is drowning. And his family, and close friends can tell. What they can't understand is why?
