Mu Qing watched those two laugh, throwing dust at one another as they ran around and dirtied their clothes. He looked directly at the other subordinate of the Prince of Xianle, seeing how happy he seemed before noticing Mu Qing's presence.
In the shadow of that tree, Mu Qing could admire Feng Xin in silence, hidden away. He glowed in the late afternoon sun, his hair swaying gracefully in the breeze, and he seemed genuinely happy—perhaps because he hadn't seen Mu Qing yet that day.
