“This is the bodyguard?” Wilbur says, very slowly, eyeing the kid.
The kid crosses his arms, eyebrows knitting, nose wrinkling. He’s four inches shorter than Wilbur at least, and looks like he’s missed a couple more meals than he can afford to miss. His pants are shredded at the knees, patched with surprisingly neat stitches.
“You can’t be more than, like, thirteen,” Wilbur says.
The kid bristles.

After the latest attempt on Crown Prince Wilbur’s life, Phil insists that Wilbur get a new bodyguard. (The last one, Techno, was promptly adopted as the new prince.) Enter Tommy—standoffish, halfway feral, and, to put it simply, oddly wolflike.
In short, he’s the perfect candidate for Wilbur to immediately adopt as a brother.

Saying it was a fall was a bit generous. It was more like he was pushed off a fucking 4 story building, and it was fucking intentional. Listen, the Blood God was a bit of a dick. Tommy didn’t hold that against him though, since he’s a villain, and Tommy’s a vigilante.
“Shit. Where is he?” Oh, that’s the Blood God. Tommy had crawled behind a dumpster, trying to stay hidden until he could fix his leg. But it didn’t seem like the sort of thing you just “fix”.
Or; I write another vigilante/villain/hero fic because I love them too much. Tommy got pushed off a roof, and broke his leg. Pretty epic.

“Yes,” Ranboo replied, and oh, fuck, Tommy gets it now.
Siren. The number three villain, only ranking lower than the Angel and the Blade. A slick, cunning, annoying son of a bitch who, yippee, has the ability to compel others to do anything he wants. All things he already knew, but what Tommy hadn’t known was that apparently he was the only one not affected by it.
It seemed Tommy was left alone and unfazed by Siren’s ability, an ability that no one should be left unfazed from, and no one ever had been, not in the history of, well, ever.
This was probably a bad thing.

“Theseus, as sharp as ever.” He grinned, but it slowly turned to a grimace. “How’d you know I was there?”
