“I have no idea,” Vincent forced a faint wheeze for words, “but I know I’m supposed to be dead.”
And so are you.
“Curious,” Alastor repeated, deep in thought. “So it has happened to us both now. It seems like we’ve got something in common, don’t we? Hold on, let me try something out…”
Without waiting for an answer, he whipped his hand up and stabbed Vincent right in the stomach. -

Нельзя сказать, что Винсент очарователен, но что-то в его словах точно очаровывает. Опять же, этот голос. Приятный, хорошо поставленный голос человека, который сделал карьеру на забалтывании других. Не столько притягательный, сколько заставляет остаться и послушать. Может, еще минутку.

Summary
Reverend Vox has the perfect life in a small American town set in the 1950s. His worship is well attended and he is close to landing a slot on television as a televangelist. All seems well.
That is until a stranger by the name of Valentino comes into town and into his church.
The more Vox gets to know Valentino the harder it gets to resist the stranger's allure. Slowly everything spins out of control, letting hell break loose over the small idyllic town.
(Aka Pastor Vox meets Demon Val and they make each other worse.)
