Childe considers for a moment, before nodding his head. "Sure."

“You must be wondering why I called for an audience with you, yes?” The Tsaritsa asks.
Childe nods, shoulders shaking inwards with the cold air nipping his nose and hands. He had forgotten how absolutely numbing it was to be inside the throne room. “Yes, Your Majesty.”
She surveys him quizzically, her chilly eyes trailing down his figure, surmising him. She focuses intently on his eyes, or more specifically, the makeup painted underneath them, the deep and rich red color standing out starkly against Childe's pale flesh.

"I see Morax has placed his Archon stamp on you, essentially marking you as his own. A dragon’s tendencies never seem to fade.” She sighs loudly, eyes rolling.
Childe sits there, stunned. What in Tevyat is she talking about? “W-What?” he sputters hopelessly.

An idea hit him and Childe hopped to his feet with a grin. “Fine, I’ll prove it to you.”
This would be a foolproof way to make a point and to prove Lumine wrong. A flawless idea. Probably the best idea he had ever had in his life.
“I don’t know what you’re planning, Childe,” she said, pulling herself up with the wall and reaching for her sword, “but it’s probably a terrible idea. Seriously, just admit that you like him because it’s obvious to anyone who sees the two of you interact.”
He spun on his heels and laughed. “So, Lumine, that’s where you’re wrong. I don’t like Zhongli as anything more than a friend, and may Celestia strike me down if I’m lying!”
Lumine’s face paled and the two of them stood there in silence for a moment, Childe ignoring his totally not rapidly beating heart. He was certain that this would be fine. There was no way he liked Zhongli like that.
“See, Lumine? I’m just fine—”
And then the lightning struck.
