Every ten years, the Fey gather a great many humans who'd begged to make a deal in a mushroom circle, and bring them to their realm. Why? Entertainment, of course! The Fey Games are a spectacle for the fair folk, where humans must venture across the dangerous and magical lands in order to make it to the capitol. Only one will make it there first, and only that lucky or resourceful human will be granted their heart's desire.
And the rest? Well. Those losers are lucky enough to become toys for the faerie willing to pay the most.

Summary

A man and a woman with glowing white eyes watching from afar. A knock that comes every night no matter where you hide. Claws scraping just outside your shelter, and creatures that linger deep within the dark, forgotten tunnels beneath the world.
What you don't realize is that you aren't just observing them. Some of them have noticed you.
As days blur into nights, their curiosity sharpens into something darker. They linger longer. They come closer. You're risking your life, despite never meaning to, just to understand what they are. And they seem to want the same from you.
They want to see how far you'll go. How long you'll last. And what you'll become when your mind finally starts to break.

When you were ten years old, your parents sent you to stay with a relative of yours from Ebott. Their villa was situated up on the mountainside, and you loved to explore the forestry. One day the ground gave out and you fell Underground, and faced terrors beyond your imagination. You were missing for weeks.
After you managed to miraculously return to the surface, your parents were relieved - but deeply troubled by your 'delusional ramblings'. They were convinced you were 'crazy', and feared how that would reflect on their reputation. Your doctors advised sending you to an in-patient psychiatric facility, which is where you spent the next few years in intensive therapy and counseling.
15 years later, you're a young adult with a somewhat manageable grip on life. You keep your head down, attend the social events that are expected of you, and try to be as unnoticeable as possible. Your parents arranged a suitor for you, and you're to be wed within the next year.
That is, until, those monsters your parents and doctors tried to convince you weren't real suddenly crawled out from the Underground. And they're a lot different from what you remember.

Sans wasn't planning on getting himself a slave. There were just too many mysteries surrounding the human to just let them go. Sans was going to find every little secret of theirs if it killed him. Make no mistake, it likely will kill him. If only the human would stop sucking up to his brother. He definitely fucked up.
You had lost hope. You resigned yourself to a life of pretending to be a weak human slave after years of being on the run. You were a broken mess of a person. When you get picked up by an asshole, you expect the usual. It would have been bad if the asshole skeleton didn't have a prickly brother with a heart of gold. But you couldn't keep playing docile human while humanity remains enslaved. Your friend was still out there.
Or in which, the author is sick of people using slave fics to make reader a broken/submissive doll and Sans a dom butthead, so author makes their own story and gleefully tramples over some cliches. No use of y/n. They just get nicknamed.
