Summary
Navigating the stresses that arise from the supernatural world is hard. It's lucky Liam has Scott and Mason to remind him to take care of himself, especially since Liam always seems to forget to do it himself.
"With a burst of speed, Liam dodged past the defenders and took the shot. The ball sailed through the air, and time seemed to slow as everyone watched its trajectory. It hit the back of the net with a satisfying thud, scoring the winning goal for Beacon Hills High.
Liam's teammates cheered, and he was briefly caught up in the euphoria of the moment. But as the adrenaline rushed through him, something inside him snapped. He felt dizzy, his vision swimming as the world spun around him. He staggered, trying to stay on his feet, but his body betrayed him.
And then, in front of his teammates, the coaches, and the cheering crowd, Liam Dunbar collapsed on the lacrosse field."
