Summary

“Don’t worry, pet” Vernon said, his nasty grin triumphant, “I’ll leave him someplace so far away that those freaks will never trace him back to us. There’s an institute up north, for these- these hopeless cases and whatnot - St Brutus's Secure Centre for Boys. I’ll leave him there, and then we can get back to our nice, normal life”.Or, the one where Harry doesn't attend Hogwarts in first year but finds his way to the wizarding world anyway, and this changes everything.

Sadly seems to be abandoned, but this is a very well-written fic which delves into a highly traumatic experience and the aftermath. It's extremely realistic and so tragic in its depictions, so proceed with caution.

Voldemort is so utterly terrifying. It really makes you understand why people would be scared to say his name. It's probably one of the best portrayals of a highly intelligent, manipulative, evil, soulless bastard who doesn't care about anything that gets in his way. This is a Voldemort who you will love to hate with a pit of rage and despair burning in your chest. Have fun.
Sadly, it looks like it won't be finished, but this is a unique fic where (SPOILERS) Harry somehow goes back in time, tries not to fuck up the timeline, does some badass study of runes and time magic, can sense magic (which makes Voldemort go all Smeagle and shit), makes stupid decisions while trying to do good, gets fucked over again and again and again, undergoes some heavy (HEAVY) duty torture, and moooooore
