Summary
Evelia Vane had been reaped for the second Quarter Quell. The announcement did not shock her nearly as much as it should have. Coming from one of the wealthiest families in District Four meant very little when her name had been entered into the reaping bowl... but yet. The Vane family wasn't known to be normal.
She did not want the arena, but a part of her wondered if this slaughterhouse might finally offer her the freedom she had spent her whole life searching for. Between an abusive mother and a father long gone, Evelia had grown up inside a future written by other people, with no space left to choose her own destiny.
As she struggled to survive the brutality of the prep days, she found herself clinging to the lonely tribute from District Twelve. When they both found out the other was a rebel, he offered for them to become allies.
Evelia accepted immediately.
What Evelia did not realise then was that Haymitch Abernathy would become far more dangerous to her than the arena ever could.
Not because he was might kill her, but because he would slowly become impossible for her to lose.

Cutesy, a little romance because I LOVE plot, lots of banter and shit, he'll be smitten in no time. Had the idea while writing another fic, Leon's like some kinda stray you showed some kindness to following you home, keeps coming back for scraps and he's so damn cute you can't help but give them.
