John is respectful. John keeps his distance. He doesn’t look at Sherlock when Sherlock decides trousers are for dull people. He doesn’t breathe in and savor it when Sherlock flings himself onto the couch first thing in the morning, wafting alpha scent, dressing gown settling around him in a cloud of blue silk. He doesn’t linger when he’s piecing Sherlock back together after a fight, even though he’s half-dressed and beautiful and right there.
He can ignore it. He can control it.

Summary
John Watson was quickly learning to hate the Victorian Era. It wasn’t just the lack of proper medical care… Although that was a rather large component. It was the filth. It was the misery and the lack of regard for human life.
Ok… So maybe the lack of proper medical care was a major component. It was difficult being a 21st century medical doctor stuck with 19th century technology.
There was some sort of time travel involved. The really strange part is that there was a past version of himself living with a past version of Sherlock Holmes.
Ok… So maybe that wasn’t the strangest part either. He seemed to be stuck in an alternate universe.

Eine interessante Geschichte, selbst wenn man kein Tennisfan ist. Charaktere sind super herausgearbeitet. Leider hat die Autorin seit 2013 nichts mehr veröffentlich, ein Sequel bzw. einen Abschluss der "Tennis"-Serie wird es wohl nicht geben. Es sollte sich aber niemand davon abhalten lassen, sie zu lesen.
