Summary
AU. Two years after the fall of Ba Sing Se and the capture of the Avatar, Zuko is forced by his father into marrying Toph Beifong, the blind daughter of Earth Kingdom merchants. Neither of them is very keen on the situation, but as they learn to know each other better, Zuko and Toph find that through this union they didn't want they might have gained something precious: an ally. Together, they will fight to carve their own paths and get free of the constraints that have kept them prisoners their whole lives.

Summary
What does it mean to be the heir to a throne bathed in the blood and ash of the rest of the world? What does it mean, especially when you know you aren't capable? Zuko knows he isn't good like the rest of them. They are good naturally, seeing evil and knowing it's wrong. Zuko, on the other hand, has struggled with that for so long, that taking a throne? Ruling? Especially over a Nation of War Criminals. He'd really rather not.
But he doesn't really have a choice, does he? His destiny is set in stone.
That is...if he allows it to be so.

In which Azula and Zuko go on a life-changing field trip together, Azula is judgmental of the master's firebending, annoyed that their offspring chose Zuko over her (why is everyone always choosing Zuko over her?), and Zuko is simply trying not to strangle his sister while his new baby dragon refuses to leave his side.

AU of "The Chase," where Azula strikes Zuko with lightning instead of Iroh, with even direr consequences for the banished prince. Thankfully, Team Avatar is willing to set aside their differences to try to save their fallen enemy. No character death!
