After looping the cord around his wrist thrice; “You gonna keep stalking me?” Nagi asks, genuinely wondering.
Reo backs away a step, just enough to look dramatic about it. “Stalking? Don’t flatter yourself. I was bored. You’re new. And interesting. And a little stupid, which I find very charming.”
Nagi blinks again. The insult doesn’t even properly sink in with Nagi’s current level of bewilderment.
By the time he finds words again, Reo is already half-turned toward the door, voice floating back over his shoulder, sweet like poison: “See you around, puppy. Try not to lose your toys next time.”

Itoshi Rin wasn't one to focus on anything but football, pushing everything else to the side as he pursued his broken dream of becoming the best striker in Japan, to prove to his brother that he was better; their dream of playing together didn't have to end despite what Sae had said upon his return to Japan. Pushing everything down was always the easiest option, throwing himself deeper into the sport as a distraction from his mind.
Enter Isagi Yoichi, pushing Rin's buttons as best as possible, trying to break down everything Rin showed himself to be and discover who he truly was.

Rin is an emotional pretzel with a brother complex that is so curiously deep (yet self-destructive) and speaks to the self-isolation and emotional turmoil that I can only imagine comes from playing soccer while gay. This story beautifully illustrated how our crash out king is constantly on the verge of drowning in his own despair, but Isagi is there to pull him out and teach him to swim~ I hope in the manga we get to see him learn how to love himself and reconcile his feelings about Isagi (and Sae).
