Algernon was standing behind his counter, hands planted on its surface. Face slightly flushed red and twisted in a scandalized expression. His little monocle was no longer perched on his face, but rather was handing from its chain. The other man facing off with Algernon had his back to Arthur, but he couldn’t help but notice a very familiar green vest and straw boater hat.
“How can you justify the needless slaughter of these amazing creatures!” None other than Albert Mason was near about shouting into Algernon’s face.
“Mister Mason?” Arthur can’t help but blurt out. Surprised to see the photographer here of all places.

He’s heard tales of merfolk before: creatures that lived deep in the sea, taking forms of beautiful women to drag naive sailors to a watery death before their bodies are stripped to the bone by razor sharp teeth, not a trace found years later.
The creature in front of him doesn’t seem like any of the tales he’s heard before, though, besides the half-fish part. It doesn’t look like the old drawings he’s seen in a couple bars, either; short cropped hair instead of long and flowing, skin so pale it’s almost clear, a muscular frame instead of narrow. And this one doesn’t look like it’s trying to lure him in, just that it wants him dead.

Patrick is just planning to cross the lake into town, before he meets the lakes resident on the way across. He probably should leave them alone. He doesn’t do that in the slightest.

How to ride a horse. How to shoot a gun and rob him blind. Sean finds himself grateful, always, that Darragh MacGuire didn't let a thing like morals stop him from trying to make sure his son would be able to survive in a world like this.
As the noose seems to tighten around the Van Der Lindes and Sean watches carefully from the sidelines when he can, he finds himself waiting in Rhodes for Arthur Morgan to meet up with him, Bill and Micah for a job the former has scoped out with the Greys. But—as is so often the case these days—something doesn't quite feel right.
