After a short, embarrassed pause, Kurogiri spoke; “I’m sorry, sir, but didn’t you ask me to take care of him last week?”
“I meant to take care of him well literally, Kurogiri,” Izuku groaned, feeling a migraine coming on. “I wanted you to make sure he was given a steady supply of his favorite drink and some food to go with it. Then I wanted you to take him to one of the safehouses and sit things out for a while, the man’s had a rough week. And I meant an actual nice safehouse!”

Midoriya Izuku, beyond his admiration of pro heroes in general, had always thought that Midnight-sensei was a great teacher; she was honest, sunny, and beneath the kinky exterior she wore like a second skin, her students would find that she was above all kind and compassionate.
However, he and the rest of her students had also quickly found out that classes with Midnight had one consistent feature; someone, at some point, was going to get flustered and left a red-faced blushing mess.
Perhaps it was a ribald joke she would make (though never at someone’s expense).
Perhaps it was the way she would wink when she thanked a student for answering a question.
Or maybe, like today, it would be when she pulled up his old fanfiction archive account in the middle of class and started the lecture.

The boy’s eyes snapped up to meet his.
“Training. Dedication. A sense of justice. A gentle heart.”
His hand curled into a mighty fist, and the number one hero tapped the boy’s chest, his middle knuckle gently brushing the spot over the boy’s heart.
“Nobody is born with those. They have to be first learned, then trained and nurtured. They are what makes for a good hero, and as long as you do the same, Midoriya Izuku… I believe you will become a fine hero one day.”
