Ambitious Mamas rejoice! For the new Duke of Hastings has graced our fair city with his presence...His Grace exchanged pleasantries with plenty of our fine ladies, ever the consummate gentleman. And if his title or debonair countenance wasn’t enough, our fair Duke seems to also enjoy charity work! He was spotted on the dance floor, twirling a rather unassuming young lady in a most unfortunate canary frock. The name of the debutante is unknown and irrelevant to this author, except for the announcement that came at the end of their dance. The Duke is on the hunt for his Duchess this season! One can only sympathize with the canary dressed debutante on what was likely her only twirl with His Grace, as he was swept away by this season’s newly debuted beauties immediately afterwards. This author wonders which brazen matchmaker shall rise to the challenge, for this competition is sure to cut a few innocent throats.

“What are you talking about?” Grace's fingers played quick chords as he spoke. He didn’t even look as he did it, but it did not make them any less purposeful.
“Discussing possible reasons why Tau Ceti is not infected while other stars are,” Eva replied deftly. “I would invite you to join, but we were just finishing—”
“Oh, that’s easy.” His hand twisted a knob, and the notes came out sharper. “It is infected—Petrova Line and everything.”
In Grace's opinion, dreaming about time traveling is no excuse for getting out of practice with his Eridian. To the rest of the Petrova Taskforce, it seems a bit odd that their resident Astrophage expert has suddenly taken to carrying a keyboard around and playing it whenever he speaks. Eva Stratt resolves to figure out what is going on.

With the beautiful life Anthony had with his even more beautiful wife, it was hard to hold onto his regrets, or really, any negative feelings at all.
