A supermoon at its zenith—massive and red like Ares’ wrath—hanging high above them, bathing the whole world in its scarlet light. Early Autumn wind, still humid from summer sun, bringing with them the sounds of an overactive city. The perpetual stench of disinfectant clinging to her skin.
And Frank Langdon in his last moments.
At 2330 hours on September 21st, as the supermoon reached its peak, Frank Langdon leaped off of PTMC’s rooftop.
No signs, no warning. He clocked in that morning for day shift, and was gone by midnight.
